MEET THE TEAM

Scott Sypniewski

Owner/Visionary + CEO

My personal mission is to help others achieve success by understanding what they truly want. Whether it’s in faith, family, health, business, or community, applying the principles of Extreme Ownership has positively transformed every part of my life.

I’m Scott Sypniewski Sr, the Visionary and CEO of SSLLC Plumbing. I grew up in Oak Lawn, a neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago. From a young age, I worked alongside my dad in our family’s multifamily plumbing business, which taught me the value of hard work and gave me a deep understanding of the plumbing industry.

After high school, I attended Western Michigan University, where I played five years of football and earned a degree in accounting. Following graduation, I spent 12 years working for an industrial pipe, valve, and fitting supply company. That experience helped me build a strong foundation in operations, supply chain, and customer service.

In 2000, I followed in my father’s footsteps and started my own plumbing company. Over the next 18 years, my wife Kathleen and I raised our four kids while building and running a successful small business. In 2018, we handed that company over to a trusted employee and relocated to Colorado to start a new chapter.

In June 2021, I read Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, and it completely changed my mindset. I realized that to become a better leader, I first had to learn to lead myself. The principles of accountability and teamwork from that book became the foundation of how I lead and live.

When the right opportunity came along in July 2021, Kathleen and I were ready. With her support, we launched SSLLC on August 1, 2021, with a clear vision: to build a company centered on the success of others.

Today, SSLLC is a growing team of over 90 people, including 30 management professionals and 60 plumbers. We operate using the principles of Extreme Ownership and the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), and we’re driven by our core values — Teamwork, Lead, Humility, and Take Ownership.

Kathleen Sypniewski

Owner + Chief Culture Officer

I am Kathleen Sypniewski. I am the co-owner and Chief Culture Officer of SSLLC Plumbing. I have been married to Scott for 32 years, and we have 4 children.

When we began SSLLC in August 2021, I supported the team by managing the finances. Our business grew quickly. We set a 10-year goal of 80% retention of our clients and 80% retention of our employees, 80/80. We realized our team needed a person whose role was to champion for them. I became the Chief Culture Officer. In my role, I promote our culture through training the core values of Teamwork, Leadership, Humility, and Ownership. We strive to provide leadership opportunities for our team and take ownership of everything in our lives, the good and the bad.

When I am not working, I love to travel and be outside in the mountains.

Scott Sypniewski Jr.

Chief Operations Officer + Integrator

I’m Scott Sypniewski Jr., the Chief Operating Officer and Integrator at SSLLC Plumbing. Since joining the company in 2022, I’ve been focused on driving operational excellence and ensuring strategic alignment across the organization. As part of a leadership team that operates under the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), my role is to translate vision into execution—keeping our team aligned, accountable, and results-driven.

Based in Chicago, I stay closely connected with our Colorado operations by regularly traveling to meet with our team on-site regularly. I’m known for building structure, driving performance, and embodying our core values—Teamwork, Lead, Humility, and Take Ownership—in everything I do.

Before entering the business world, I played college football at the University of Michigan earning a bachelor’s degree in English and followed by a final season at Vanderbilt University, where I earned a master’s in Marketing and Sales. My athletic background taught me the value of discipline, resilience, and high performance under pressure—qualities I bring to my leadership every day.

I lead with a mindset of Extreme Ownership, taking full responsibility for outcomes and fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Outside of work, I’m married to my wife, Emily. We have a dog named Hokey, and I’m an avid golfer always chasing the next great round.

Christine Collins

Finance Manager

I’m Christine Collins, the Finance Manager at SSLLC. I’ve been with SSLLC since December of 2022 and oversee our financial operations. I feel incredibly blessed to lead a growing team and help support the mission!

I was born and raised in the Denver, Colorado area, and I believe that my greatest calling is being a servant of Christ, a wife to my incredible husband, and mom to our three amazing boys! My family and I are deeply involved in the Celebrate Recovery ministry, as well as our home-church, where I have the joy and privilege of serving on the worship team as a singer.

Whether I’m crunching numbers, raising my boys, or praising Jesus through music, my heart is to serve with grace and purpose. In my free time, I love making memories with my family and friends, enjoying great food and new experiences, and nurturing my 200 (and counting) houseplants!

Anthony Twiss

I’m Anthony Twiss, Project Manager for SSLLC Plumbing. I’ve been in the plumbing industry for over 18 years and currently hold a Colorado Master Plumber License. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in and managed all phases of the plumbing process, from rough-ins to final installations. I’m passionate about mentoring others in the trade and always eager to learn new techniques that make the plumbing process more efficient. Outside of work, I enjoy spending my weekends with my family, especially at my children’s sporting events and practices.

Jorge Fuentes

Project Manager

My name is Jorge Fuentes, and I’m a Project Manager at SSLLC. For the past two and a half years, I’ve been part of the SSLLC team. I began in the field, managing and completing several projects, and eventually transitioned into a leadership role. During my time at SSLLC, I’ve grown tremendously — not only in my trade but also in how I lead others, handle challenges, and carry myself personally and professionally. The company has provided me with tools, mentorship, and perspective that continue to shape who I am today.

At 18, I entered the plumbing trade, and I’ve stayed in the industry ever since. Though the road hasn’t always been easy, I feel incredibly blessed. I met my soulmate in high school, and we’ve now been together for 16 years. We have two wonderful children — our daughter, Anali and our son, Jayden. My wife and kids are my world — they are my daily motivation and the reason I work as hard as I do.

Christ is at the center of my life, my family, and everything I do, guiding the way I live and lead. I strive to be a consistent example of faith, integrity, and hard work—both at home and in the workplace. Outside of work, I coach my three boys in basketball and flag football—opportunities that allow me to lead, learn, and invest in the next generation. I love music and sports, and I strive to live a God-honoring, God-fearing life that reflects the love and grace I’ve been shown. My purpose is to keep learning, growing, and becoming the best version of the man God created me to be.
